Life or Death - Are you going to Heaven?
Today is the day of salvation the Bible says. It's the American way to put something off until tomorrow. It seems as though there is always another tomorrow, or will there be? Within the time you read this paragraph many people throughout the world have died and are not going to heaven.
In your life you have many choices, but only two are the most important, Heaven or Hell. Where will you be after you die? People plan for vacations more than think about where they will be for eternity! Are you prepared? You might not get another chance than right now to make the right choice. Don't let another "tomorrow" happen before accepting Jesus.
If Jesus asked you why He should allow you to come into heaven what would you say? Why is this question important? |

Answer: God created human beings in his own image with a Body, a Mind, and a Spirit. Your Spirit is immortal (will never perish). Gen 1:27- So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Because your Spirit will never die, you will either spend eternity with God or Separated from him. Thessalonians 1:9 These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of our Lord and from the glory of His power, when He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints...

What do I have to do to go to Heaven?
|
| |
Answer: All you have to do is believe that Jesus Christ died on the Cross to pay for your sins and rose again on the 3rd day. John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. Rom 10:9 That if you confess with your mouth, ''Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Why must I accept Jesus? Can't I get there just by being a good person?
|
| |
Answer: When Adam chose to rebel against God in the Garden of Eden by eating the forbidden fruit, Adam's relationship with God was severed and the whole creation fell. Consequently, everyone is born in a fallen state of sin, and the penalty for sin is death. However, God had a plan for the salvation of man. God, Himself, took on the form of man and died on the cross, shedding His blood for all sinners and paying the penalty for sin -- death. Phillippians 4:5-11 Let this mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus, who being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bond servant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
Because of our fallen state and sinful nature we can never be "good" enough to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. If you sin, even once, the penalty is death. Accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior and accepting His sacrifice, the shedding of His blood for your sins -- is the only way to be saved. Romans 3:23 ...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God has set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness...
It is through faith in Jesus, faith that Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for your sins that you will be saved -- through this faith all of those who believe will receive the grace and salvation of God. John 3:16 ''For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Rom 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. But you must accept the gift of salvation before you will be saved. John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.

What about the Ten Commandments? Won't I go to Heaven if I follow them?
|
| |
Answer: Yes, you will go to Heaven if you keep the Ten Commandments and all the other Laws in the Bible, but if you break even the smallest you won't make it, that's why God gives us the free gift of Salvation apart from the Law. Eph 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through Me."

How do I receive Jesus Christ?

You might start with something similar to this:
Dear Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner, and I need your forgiveness. I believe You died on the cross for my sins, and Your blood was shed for Me. Lord Jesus I ask You to come into my heart, to cleanse my sins and to give me a new life in You. Jesus, I need you to be the Lord and Savior of my life. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
